i don’t think ALL blacks are mixed… Maybe a good bit, but NOT all. Some of are just pure blacks. my friend research her family tree and had not one drop of mixed blood.
next time get someone who looks like Gabrielle Union, Aaliyah, the Glenn twins, jennifer hudson, Teairra Mari, Meagan Good, Samantha del Valle, etc. etc. etc. i mean damn…
Why are you complaning about someone’s blackness. This is the problem within the black community, who dark, light, brown. Who cares. Iam from Africa and we have all different skin tone just like in America but we dont compare ourself. If Black people cant get over how fare someone is than how do you except racisim to go away.

just say black people. u sound a little racist wen u say BLACKS. (not saying ur racist) and yes they do need to get somone who looks like the people u metioned up top.
i dnt think the model has any relevance she was just there to look pretty so in tis case her african americanness doesnt need 2 b in question, but yes i do agree that wen they talk about black hair care they should use a black woman. when i say black i dnt mean by shde bcause there are ull black girls who are very fair, but im talking bout black as in hair type because typical blac hair hs a different texture to mixd hair. saying that there are some mixd peole who have 4a/b/c hair so its depends
i totally agree. many of us don’t understand we perpetuate the same concepts that racism stems from. seeing a lighter skinned girl shouldn’t cause such an uproar. was the information relevant to black hair care? definately and that’s what we should focus on
i ahte light black people jk.
It’s true AA’s come in all shades
The model may indeed be Black However, if you are making a video on
AA issues, why not make it representative of the majority?
Perhaps you could have made than 1 video based on hair types straight/afro textured etc
Certainly the care/needs of each are different. In fact it has been noted that the less curly the pattern, the less dry the hair and thus the less it’s likely to break
the model does not appear 2 have a natural tight curl pattern
peace out
lol shes not black ^0^
its funnt dat ur hair isnt long
lmfao…healthy and relaxed do NOT go together. I wish she added that.
You don’t know what you’re talking about!
NO PERMS!!! is how you promote long strong hair.
Couldn’t they find a better representation of Black than lite, bright and damn near white, hi yella gal. Damn I’m sick of light skinned women. They have been a pain in my ass my entire life. Oh, I’m sorry what were we talking about?
@QueenCleopatra0606 seeing a lighter skinned “black” girl shouldn’t cause such an uproar. But it does, because us darker skinned Black people are looked at as ugly and not a good representation of beautiful Blackness. And to all my dark skinned Sistas out there “I LOVE YALL WITH ALL MY HEART”
@Divalawgirl but they only seem to want one shade when talking about beauty.
@screwface1011 wow that’s rough. It’s not their fault for their genes. Lol. This is only one video and there are many others in the related videos section where the representation is of chocolate and dark chocolate honeys. This is actually the first one I’ve seen with a lighter toned model. Don’t worry about it too much. Love for ourselves is reflected in the love for others.
No, trust me I know. But you keep buying into the retarded statements made by those who sell you perms. lol
The main ingredients in relaxers are the same ones you will find in drain cleaner AND hair removing creams. You have no idea how harsh those chemicals are. Each is designed to BREAK DOWN organic substances. It breaks down the hair and basically melts the bonds that hold it together, stretching it out and exhausting them in the process. I know what I’m talking about. Go read up on it.
Yup.
@screwface1011 All of Gods children are beautiful no matter what skin tone they may be…man creates stereotypes, not God and we are all beautiful in his sight
@thethingkid You are absolutely right…I am a hairstylist and I try to encourage natural hair. I am white with extremely curly hair. For years I tried straightening my hair and almost killed it before I let it go and learned how to take care of it in its natural state…i get far more compliments with it that way and I now have a very healthy head of hair
@CrazyGirrl31 I know/think that are all children of the most high. we just need to let everybody else know.
girl I LOVE YOU………… u r a professional
keep up the good work.
@skmjr1993 i’m black too, but ok 🙂
@darlingliz26 The comments I made were not meant to target a certain skin complexion. I just wanted to express how “darker” women of color are misreprensented in the media. I clarified that in my first comment. All saying is I see more “light-skinned” women of color then I do “dark-skinned”. And there’s no denying it because it’s true. Why can’t it be even?! That’s all I’m saying.
